Websites are used to define base access URLs to certain areas of the portal. Each website can be associated with a channel, which will be its root channel. The web resources (for more information about web resources, see the Web Resource topic) of this website will consider that channel as the root for the purpose of generating a friendly path.

A channel can be defined as the root channel of a website, even if this channel is a descendant of another website. In this case, from that channel onwards the structure will be considered as belonging to the selected website and will not belong to the ancestral website.

Permissions

• Manage service instance: Allows managing all data of this service instance, including deleting it entirely.
• Edit service instance content: Allows managing all data of this service instance with publisher profile.
• View service instance: Allows viewing public data of this service instance.
