Workflow
The Workflow is a metadata that allows you to control the approval of content before it goes live. As well as the archiving of content after it has gone live. A solution can have multiple types of workflows, each with different states and profiles.
The default Workflow of LumisXP has 3 roles: AUTHOR, EDITOR, and CHIEF EDITOR. The AUTHOR can insert content but cannot approve it. The EDITOR can only approve content created by him or content assigned to him. The CHIEF EDITOR has permission to manage any registered content.
State
The LumisXP Content Management framework by default has a Workflow that has five states:
- In authorship;
- Waiting for approval;
- Approved;
- Under review;
- Archived.
The Role of the Workflow “AUTHOR” has access to the following states of the Workflow:
- In authorship;
- Under review.
Note: This role does not have permission to approve; they can submit for approval the content they inserted. When content is submitted for approval, everyone who has the right to approve this content will receive an email.
The Role of the Workflow “EDITOR” has access to the following states of the Workflow:
- In authorship;
- Waiting for approval;
- Approved;
- Under review;
- Archived.
Note: Only for the content that is directly assigned to their user or that was created by them.
The Role of the Workflow “CHIEF EDITOR” has access to the following states of the Workflow:
- In authorship;
- Waiting for approval;
- Approved;
- Under review;
- Archived.
Note: Of all the content registered in the administration.
The content will only be visible to the end user when it is in the “Approved” state.
