Installation and Configuration
This section contains the necessary steps for the installation and configuration of LumisXP. Please read the following items carefully:
- Version Highlights;
- The system prerequisites;
- Installation and configuration of LumisXP on application servers and databases;
- Authentication Settings in Lumis;
- Upgrade.
The installation process should be performed by a system administrator, with prior knowledge of the applications that support the product. This manual does not provide usage examples of these softwares.
Disaster Recovery (DR)
Solutions that require contingency environments must apply the following configurations depending on the type of operating system and database chosen.
- File Changes: In LumisXP, there is a directory /lumisdata/ that contains the specific files of the solution, including, for example, the media that publishers can upload. It is important that these files are replicated to contingency environments. This replication can be done through automated backup/restore procedures at appropriate intervals for the solution, or done incrementally using tools like rsync.
- Database Changes: Depending on the type of database chosen, the appropriate automated backup and restoration process of data must be done between production and contingency environments at suitable intervals for the solution. A process for replicating changes can also be performed to only replicate the most recent updates, reducing the amount of data replicated.
- Elasticsearch: The snapshot functionality of Elasticsearch should be used to automatically copy data between environments at suitable intervals for the solution.
Monitoring changes can be implemented if the processes defined above encounter any failures.
