Consumer Configured Portlet

Consumer Configured Portlets are WSRP portlets where there is a configuration by the consumer for customization. This configuration is only possible in portals that support Registration. For more information about the API, visit the specification.

To perform this configuration, it is necessary for there to be an instance of Remote Portlet configured with registration for a producer.

Cloning a Portlet:

1) Right-click on the previously configured Remote Portlet service and select Configure Clones.

2) The screen with the list of available portlets will open.

3) Select the portlet you want to clone and click the Clone Portlet button.

4) The screen with information about the clone will open. Fill in the Friendly Name field. For each property to be configured in the clone, if there is any, press the Add button to create a new Key-Value pair. Enter the values as desired. At the end of the configuration, press Ok.

5) The new clone should be available in the list of available portlets.

Changing Properties of a Clone:

1) Right-click on the previously configured Remote Portlet service and select Configure Clones.

2) The screen with the list of available portlets will open.

3) To open the details screen of the clones, click on the link of the clone. Portlets that are not clones will not have a link.

4) The Clone Details screen will be displayed. This screen contains the friendly name information, which pages the clone is being used on, and which properties are configured.

5) Make the necessary adjustments to the clone's properties and press Ok. The change will affect all pages that use the respective clone.

Removing a Clone:

1. Right-click on the previously configured Remote Portlet service and select Configure Clones.
2. The screen with the list of available portlets will open.
3. Select the clone you wish to delete and press the Delete Clone button.
