Page Template Access Manager: Page Template Access Control
For each page template created, it is possible to add groups and users who will be able to access it and grant permissions to each of them. The pages that have such a template applied receive a copy of this ACL, which can be modified on the page as needed.
The possible access permissions for a page template are: manage, layout, and view page template. However, if the "Inherit Access Control" option is enabled, the access control for the inherited groups and users will be inherited from the channel, being possible only to deny permissions to them. Regardless of inheritance, it is possible to assign permissions and deny them to users and groups added to the page template access control. By default, users and groups added to the access control have "view page template" permissions, but these can be denied as needed.
The figure below is an example of access control for a page template “Template_Home,” whose group "Portal Administrators" was inherited from the channel. Since the "Inherit Access Control" option is disabled, it is possible to assign this group permissions as well as deny them. For groups and users who are being added, permissions can be assigned or denied regardless of inheritance. Additionally, by default, they will receive the "view page template" permission.
