Counting Views and Clicks

Typically, banners provide end users with a link that redirects them to other pages, which can be either internal or external to the portal. Whenever one of these links is clicked, the access is logged and made available in a log file located in the directory "lumisdata/log/lumis/banner".

It is also possible to count the views of the banners, that is, each time pages are opened or refreshed, a view is logged in a log file located in the directory "lumisdata/log/lumis/banner".

In addition to storing in files, the records are also stored using the framework of monitoring in Big Data.

The options in the Banner Properties for Track Views and Track Clicks allow enabling or disabling the collection of these records both for file and for the framework of monitoring. For the framework of monitoring to log such information, it is also necessary to enable the corresponding events in the Monitoring Manager.
