Interface Instances
A service is composed of interfaces that provide views and functionalities for a page or page template through interface instances.
To fill the areas of the pages with the interface instances, simply click, drag and drop (drag-and-drop) a service instance to the desired area and choose the desired interface from the list. This way, it is possible to dynamically add and remove resources from the portal without needing web programming knowledge or relying on the support of programmers.
Columns in the areas are automatically created by "dragging and dropping interfaces at specific points.
The width of a column is, by default, determined by the maximum width of its interfaces. As interfaces are added and removed, the width of the column may change to accommodate the new maximum width. It is important to note that a column must always be at least as wide as the maximum width of its interfaces.
The following figure displays the "Home" page in editing mode with four areas. The first area is filled with the interface instance Administration of the Banners service. The figure also shows the "drag and drop" of the interface Category Administration of the Banners service, selected from the interfaces panel to the second area of the page. The other two areas are not filled with interface instances.
The choice of the service interface can be from the channel to which the page belongs or from other channels. To do this, simply select change channel, choose the channel and finally "drag and drop" the interface instance. Additionally, if the channel does not have the desired service, you can add the desired service instances through the Add Service Instance option.
